   摘要：This talk will present our recent work on hierarchical information visualization and navigation on mobile interfaces, such as cell phones. The project aims at providing an intuitive, efficient, and user-customizable display structure for mobile users to rapidly find desired information. We have conducted a user study on the approach and will report our findings. Other research directions undergoing at the UTD Visual Computing Lab will also be briefly mentioned.

   报告人简介：张康博士现任美国德州大学达拉斯分校计算机科学系终生正教授,可视计算实验室主任。也是美国Vital Art and Science,Inc.（myvisiontrack.com）公司董事和创始人之一。他还应邀成为多家美国知识产权法律事务所计算机专家咨询顾问。他于1982年2月在成都电讯工程学院(现改名为电子科技大学)取得计算机工程学士学位(七七级), 1990年在英国布莱顿大学(国家学术委员会)取得计算机工程博士学位，2011年在美国德州大学达拉斯分校取得EMBA学位。张康博士曾在华东计算技术研究所、英国布莱顿大学、英国科学与工程委员会、和澳大利亚麦考里大学等机构任职。 现任Journal of Visual Languages and Computing期刊编委及书评编辑, International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering期刊编委, Journal of Big Data期刊编委, International Journal of Advanced Intelligence期刊编委。担任过《中国科学》、《软件学报》和多个国际期刊特邀编辑。在多个国际会议上应邀发表主旨演讲。出版过6本论著,50多篇国际期刊SCI论文,和140多篇国际会议论文。张康教授的主要研究领域是可视化语言,信息可视化,计算机与美学和管理的关系, 软件工程,及Web。他最近开始研究信息可视化、艺术和设计等在管理学中的作用，提出了“管理美学”(Managerial Aesthetics)这一新兴的交叉学科概念。个人网页：www.utdallas.edu/~kzhang
